Little Genius is designed for children aged 4 to 6. It relies on the Numicon method, a didactic-mathematical system developed to enhance early mathematical abilities in children. Created by experts from Oxford University, Numicon is recognized worldwide and was awarded the Best Educational Math Method in the 2015 Education Resources Awards. Learning takes place through play using Numicon shapes, allowing children to grasp the concept of numbers, relationships between numbers, numerical systems, arithmetic operations, and various mathematical patterns. Classes are held once a week for 60 minutes.
Numicon offers numerous opportunities for play and exploration, enabling work at different levels of understanding with compact, easily manipulable elements. It includes children with reduced motor development and supports both team and individual work. Numicon aids in the development of visualization and mental calculation skills without the need for additional tools, promotes cognitive development, and activates both brain hemispheres while enhancing gross and fine motor skills.
Thanks to Numicon, children grasp basic mathematical concepts more quickly and effectively. The benefits are noticeable not only in younger students just starting school but also in older students in higher grades of primary school.
After completing the Little Genius program, our students are ready for the adventure with Superbrain, who calculates and remembers with incredible speed, just like the most advanced computers.
Children learn basic number and math concepts in a fun and interactive way, fostering curiosity for logical thinking.
The Numicon method is used worldwide to provide a simple and engaging introduction to numbers and basic operations for children. Utilizing teaching aids of various colors, shapes, sizes, and weights enhances children's motivation to learn. In addition to standard Numicon methods, we often use everyday items such as pebbles, sticks, leaves, and so on, to present numbers to children in the simplest possible way.
